Flooring

There are more and more green flooring options available these days, as demand for sustainable and healthful living increases.  Criteria that makes a flooring option green includes such factors as the sustainability of the flooring material (i.e., bamboo flooring), whether the materials are made with renewable or recycled products, whether the products are manufactured and distributed in environmentally friendly ways (i.e., using local materials), the toxicity of the materials and products used during installation, the durability of the products , and whether the flooring materials can be easily maintained in an environmentally friendly manner.  Some green flooring options offered in this section include bamboo and cork floors, sustainable wood flooring, reclaimed wood flooring, natural fiber products, recycled tile, natural stone, environmentally friendly carpet options, and more.
