General Contractors

General contractors are building and construction professionals that are responsible for the execution of a construction project in accordance with a specified contract, including budgeting, planning, and implementation.  The general contractor is responsible for the successful completion of a construction or renovation project and is usually responsible for supplying or overseeing the material, equipment, labor and services required to successfully complete the project.   Green construction utilizes materials that are renewable, sustainable and/or recycled and incorporates energy efficiency and conservation in the design process.  General contractors listed in this section are experienced in green building and green construction practices and design.  Some may be LEED certified.
