Waste Reduction

Conventional building, renovation and remodeling projects use a lot of natural resources and create a lot of waste.  This section provides resources on waste reduction information, programs, and initiatives in conjunction with environmentally responsible building and construction practices.   Resources include links to government agencies and non-profit organizations that are committed to promoting more environmentally responsible methods of building and construction (green building practices), in an effort to reduce the amount of construction waste generated and to dispose properly of waste that is created during the construction process.  Information is also provided on ways to reduce consumer waste within the home, office and building environment.
