Building consultants can be involved in all aspects of a green construction project.  They offer advice on planning, development and environmental issues related to the building project.  Consultants may be involved in a single building decision or may be retained to be actively involved in all aspects of planning and development.  Consultants dedicated to green construction utilize a philosophy geared to affordable energy, resource efficiency, reuse and recycling, waste reduction, and the use of alternative building techniques, materials and design processes, so that the building project can achieve maximum results with minimal negative environmental impact.  Some building consultants may be LEED certified.
